Hi, I'm Klare Ingram, CFRE. I work at Albany Medical Center Foundation as a Director of Development and I am honored to be President of the Board of Directors for the AFP-Hudson Mohawk Chapter for 2026.

Since returning to the Capital Region in 2014, AFP-HM has been a meaningful resource for me – one I can turn to for professional development, a shared commitment to impact, and a supportive community of peers. In 2022, I joined our Chapter Board as a way to help define and drive what AFP involvement looks like in our region and to get more out of my membership. The past four years have brought all that and more! Also in 2022, I became a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) - with vital support from fellow AFP members - and in 2023, I established AFP-HM's Emerging Professionals Cohort (EPC). It has been incredible and truly fulfilling to see our EPC program and network of alumni grow each year since!

Stepping into the President role this year has been both humbling and immensely energizing. I am committed to fostering a welcoming, supportive environment for all fundraisers in our region and beyond; to helping AFP members get the most out of their membership benefits; and to strengthening our Board with an emphasis on building sustainable practices, accessible leadership, and relevant programming.

I'm excited for what the remainder of the year will bring! In the coming months, you will get to meet the rest of our amazing board and learn more about our committees and the work we all do for you and our community.

The Philanthropy Outlook 2026 Report is Here! 📃

Prepared by the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and funded by CCS Fundraising, the Philanthropy Outlook 2026 report explores how provisions in 2025 H.R. 1 could shape charitable giving across the United States. Drawing on IRS data, national surveys, and corporate datasets, the analysis uses established economic modeling to estimate the potential impact of key policy changes under low, central, and high scenarios.

From a universal charitable deduction to new limits on itemized deductions and corporate giving thresholds, the report offers a clear framework for understanding how evolving legislation may influence giving in 2026.
